API Wizard – Data Privacy & Data Handling Terms

1. Purpose

​

This document describes how API Wizard software handles customer data and clarifies API Wizard’s role with respect to data privacy and data protection.

​

2. Role of API Wizard

​

API Wizard is a software provider. API Wizard does not act as a data controller, data processor, or sub-processor with respect to customer data.

​

3. Data Hosting and Storage

​

API Wizard does not host, store, retain, or persist customer data.  Customer data remains entirely within the customer’s own systems, including:

​

• The customer’s local environment (e.g., Microsoft Excel), and

• The customer’s Oracle environment (Oracle E-Business Suite or Oracle Fusion Cloud).

 

4. Data Access

​

API Wizard (the company) does not have access to the software running in the customers' environment or to any customer data.

​

The software:

​

• Runs locally within the customer’s environment

• Uses customer-controlled credentials

• Communicates directly between the customer’s systems and Oracle

• No customer data is transmitted to, collected by, or accessible to API Wizard systems.

5. Data Transmission

​

API Wizard software does not transmit customer data to API Wizard-operated servers or infrastructure.  Any data exchanged during operation flows directly between the customer’s environment and Oracle systems under the customer’s control.

6. Personal Data

​

API Wizard does not independently collect, process, or store personal data (PII) on behalf of customers.  Any personal data processed through the software is processed solely within the customer’s environment and under the customer’s control.

7. Security Responsibilities

​

Customers are responsible for:

​

• Managing user access and credentials

• Configuring Oracle security, roles, and permissions

• Ensuring compliance with applicable data protection laws within their environment

​

API Wizard software operates within these customer-defined security controls.

 

8. Confidentiality

​

API Wizard’s Software License Agreement includes confidentiality and information protection provisions governing any non-public information exchanged in connection with the commercial relationship.

​

9. Applicability of Data Processing Agreements

​

Because API Wizard does not process or store customer data outside of the customer’s systems, a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) is not applicable.
